The Pandemic 101 Corporation has contracted strategic partners who are able to provide medical products directly to our clients. To ensure the lowest pricing possible, our vendors have discounted all products offered through Pandemic101. Once the products and medications have been purchased, the order information is forwarded to our suppliers who will then directly ship the various products to your workplace or home.
Infectious Disease Control Products
Personal Protection during an Influenza Pandemic
The first line of defense against pandemic flu is proper hand washing and the use of infectious disease control products to reduce exposure to viruses. We have developed an "infection control product calculator" to assist our clients in determining the product needs for their staff based on the level of risk and exposure of a variety of job types. The products we have used in our calculator include protective eyewear, medical-grade gloves, surgical facemasks, N95 respirators, coveralls and booties. Flu viruses can live up to seventy-two hours on hard surface and therefore we have included polycide wipes and sprays to disinfect common use areas as well.
Anti-viral Medications
An anti-viral medication belongs to a group of medicines called neuraminidase inhibitors. This kind of medication attacks the influenza virus and prevents it from replicating and spreading throughout a patient's body. Tamiflu® is manufactured by La-Hoffaman Roche and Relenza is manufactured by Glaxosmithkline (GSK). Both products have a very long shelf life (approximately four years) and during a pandemic can be taken at the onset of flu symptoms. Pandemic 101 is able to assist our clients in developing an antiviral strategy in accordance with the guidelines established by the College of Physicians and Surgeons and the federal, provincial / state health authorities.
We help work through the issues of jurisdiction, prescriptions, product dispensing, storage and medical licensing, consent, safe use directions and waiver forms.
