President of Pandemic 101™
Scott is the co-founder and President of The Pandemic 101 Corporation. Scott has over 20 years of experience and training as a paramedic, and the development of emergency response and emergency management programs. While Scott spent many years providing direct patient care his real strengths lie in seeing the big picture and understanding the "systems". It was this knowledge Scott gained while working within various EMS services in particular the knowledge gained from the excellent people Scott trained with in Los Angeles County and worked along side at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre Base Hospital Program Toronto and while serving as a Critical Care Flight Paramedic on Bandage One - Ontario Air Ambulance Service. These experiences enabled Scott to redefine and develop professional integrated programs for the public and private sectors.
In 1992 Scott founded a first aid training company based on using professional paramedics to teach custom first aid and CPR courses, after 12 years had grown the business to over 1500 clients with over 80 developed programs. In 2006 Scott co-founded Respond Solutions Inc. to improve the emergency response capabilities of corporations. RSI supports a very enviable client list of some of Canada's leading professional services firms and corporations; Scott continues to be the President of RSI.
It was quickly realized that issues surrounding the implementation of an infectious disease control programs and the development of a complete pandemic solution were significant and needed the focus and resources of a stand alone business and thus The Pandemic 101 Corporation was born.
Today Scott sits as an advisor to The School of Emergency Management & Public Safety at George Brown College. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and is often consulted by media groups as a recognized subject matter expert in emergency response and infectious disease program implementation.
