Project Management Professional and Professional Engineer with 15+ years of manufacturing, corporate, academic, research, technical and management consulting background. Experience with unstructured business & technical concept formulation, solution development, and senior executive project debriefs. Taught at the University of Toronto, conducted advanced research on leading-edge manufacturing processes in a civilian defence establishment for the U.S. Navy, engaged in technology transfer for silicon solar cell manufacturing process, and overseen complete-knock-down (CKD) automotive assembly operations. International work histories in American, Canadian and Japanese R&D laboratories on mathematical modeling of materials processing operations.

  • Decision Support: strategic planning, business case development, market/competitor intelligence, technology scan, product offer assessment, RFI/RFP support.
  • Human Resources: organizational and positional assessment, HRIS support, PeopleSoft 8.3 project implementation.

Prior to joining AMI, Dr. Choo was Principal Investigator in 15+ technical/ engineering consulting projects (Norway, Colombia, Japan, Dominican Republic). He has 24 refereed publications in professional journals (J. Applied Physics, J. Applied Electrochemistry, Metallurgical and Materials Transactions, Trans. ISS, Welding Journal) plus four key-note addresses on interfacial/surface phenomena and Industrial Engineering. Core research foci: materials processing, mathematical modeling, transport phenomena and computer simulations. He also spent 8 years with SBR International.
