Sales, Marketing, Media & Market Research consulting professional. Mr. Howell is President & CEO of Associate Marketing International Inc. and Managing Director of AMI-Business Resilience. He has over 25 years of progressive management experience. Service focus- sales & marketing, consulting, public and media relations, merchandising, advertising, market research, print media and project management. Sector focus- retail, telecom, consumer packaged goods, foodservice, entertainment and hospitality sectors. Mr. Howell's companies are active internationally with projects in the U.S., U.K. U.A.E. & Gulf Region as well as Canada.
Leadership positions held include the launch of three multinational business models in Canada which required the complete setup of operating and corporate infrastructure. This required delicate change management skill and visionary re-organization with the acquisition and merger of two large companies. Responsibilities included strategic planning, process engineering, software selection, recruitment, training/ professional development, development of bonded warehousing and supply chain logistics and shared cross border client responsibility with U.S parent company. David has a decades worth of experience in consumer market research and worked in a strategic capacity with most of Canada's Tier l and Tier ll retailers and suppliers in the area of change management - corporate reorganization, merchandising, assortment planning, sku rationalization, work flow analysis and maintenance & warranty insurance programs. A recent engagement dictated the complete reorganization of the Canadian planning group, for the world's largest retailer.
Mr. Howell developed a visionary model for one of Canada's largest telecom providers with a specific readiness plan that ensured rapid response to changing business climates. The plans identified corporate interdependencies and critical functions necessary to maintain a "business as usual" environment in a variety of crises that could otherwise interrupt services deemed "essential", by the Canadian Government.
Representative Clients include Bally of Switzerland, Yves Saint Laurent, Reitmans, HBC, Sears Canada, Canadian Tire Corporation, Marks Work Wearhouse, Moore's, Wal-Mart, Rogers Communications Inc., Rogers Wireless, Rogers Cable, Toys R Us, American Eagle Outfitters, The Gap, Levi Strauss, T.J. Maxx/Winners, Walgreens, Penningtons, Addition-Elle, Phantom Hosiery, Heritage Energy Products and American Popcorn Company, Emirates Post, The Ajman Chamber of Commerce, Etisilat. David was a Senior Vice President at The NPD Group, TAG Apparel and Sr. Vice President of Liz Claiborne Canada, driving Claiborne's launch into Canada in 1988.
